This multi media cross art schools’ project was first presented in 2008 by the Welsh Sinfonia and visual artist/musician Bill Taylor-Beales, supported by funding from Communities First Music Trust Fund and Caerphilly Music Service.  The performance looked at the myth of Merlin and the Red Dragon and contained both Welsh and English language.

This culmination of the multi media project will involved a large number of children, Bill on Electric Guitar, a narrator, and the Welsh Sinfonia.

Local musician and composer Iestyn Harding’s original music featured alongside the singing, drumming and mask wearing. Performances of Draig Goch lasts for 30 minutes and are preceded by approx 10 minutes of light popular Welsh music.
